Originally from the Kelowna, Rikki Cargo graduated from the Okanagan University College with a Bachelor of Fine Arts and a Diploma in Multimedia at Vancouver Art Institute. She spent time in Vancouver, New York, Fort Lauderdale, Salt Lake City and Boston for international business with merchant banks and other various joint ventures before relocating to Vancouver Island in 2009.

Today Rikki is the CEO of Cargo Royale; an ecocouture fashion line that brings sustainability and benevolence to the luxury goods sector. www.CargoRoyale.com. Cargo Royale is currently in production and will be socially responsible, philanthropic fashion that enhances the lives of those we touch by helping them live better lives. Calculating Our Shipping Footprint for Cargo Royale Eco Luxury Fashion

I thought my carbon footprint would be greater to ship eco-friendly fabrics from Carson, California to Vancouver (2,078km = 0.69 GHS) then it would be from Montreal, Quebec to Vancouver (4,902km = 1.64 GHS). What a shocking different, and according to the freight calculator, It only costs about $100 (based on lowest price) in shipping to bring these fabrics from Eagle Fabrics up from Cali to Van. I am pleasantly suprised and greatful that milling our own proprietary fabric in the US won't cost the environment like I orginally thought. *GHS = Green House Gases.
